Alan Wake 2 Deer Heads: All Deer Head Locations and Rewards

Tracking down every taxidermy deer head in Alan Wake 2 offers players a unique opportunity to gain extra survival supplies while exploring Pacific Northwest environments. As Saga Anderson, interactable deer heads are scattered across key locations including Cauldron Lake, Bright Falls, and Watery. Finding and petting all of these mounted trophies unlocks a hidden supply room stocked with essential equipment.

Cauldron Lake Deer Head Locations

Cauldron Lake holds three deer heads hidden within its dark forests and cabins. The first can be found inside a small cabin near the murder site early in Saga's investigation. The remaining taxidermy pieces are situated inside private cabins near Witchfinder Station and the southern rental cabins area.

Bright Falls Deer Head Locations

Bright Falls contains five deer heads distributed across iconic town landmarks and surrounding structures. Players can interact with one in the backroom storage area of the Oh Deer Diner and another inside the Elderwood Palace Lodge. Additional deer heads are located inside the Ranger Station, the Valhalla Nursing Home lounge, and the Wellness Center.

Watery Deer Head Locations

Watery houses four deer heads hidden in key story and side area locations. One trophy is mounted inside the Suomi Hall breakroom, while another can be interacted with inside the Kalevala Knights Workshop. Players can discover the final two heads within the Trailer Park home and the Lighthouse Trailer area.

Unlocking the Deer Head Rewards

Once players interact with every deer head across the map, returning to Saga's Mind Place prompts a message indicating the completion of the hunt. Following this notification, players must travel to the Elderwood Palace Lodge in Bright Falls to spot a living deer down the hallway. The deer leads players to a newly unlocked room filled with high-tier ammo, healing supplies, and flares to aid in future combat encounters.
